Jamuan Melbourne is an independent dining guide. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and how to contact us with any questions. We do not sell goods or services, take bookings, or handle payments, so the amount of personal information this site collects is limited.
Information we collect
If you send us an email, we collect your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, such as your name or the details of a correction request. If you browse the site without contacting us, we may collect basic technical information through standard web hosting and analytics tools, such as your approximate location, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and is not linked back to your identity.
Cookies
This site may use basic cookies for functionality and for anonymous analytics, such as counting page visits. We do not use cookies for advertising or to build a profile of individual visitors. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may not function as intended if you do.
How we use information
Email correspondence is used only to respond to your enquiry, correction request or feedback. We do not share your email address with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing. Any analytics data collected is used only to understand site usage and improve the content we publish.
Third-party links
Our guides link out to restaurant websites, booking platforms, news articles and other third party sites for reference. Once you follow a link away from this site, that third party's own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Data retention and security
We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to resolve an enquiry or maintain a record of a correction, after which it may be deleted. We take reasonable steps to protect any information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. Any updates will be posted on this page.
